What we treat
Sports injuries
Getting back is not about waiting. It is about meeting the criteria.
What it usually is
Ankle sprains
The most re-injured injury in sport, almost always because the return was based on how it felt rather than on what it could do.
Hamstring and calf strains
Common in running sports and prone to recurrence. Progressive loading through the full range is what changes the re-injury rate.
Overuse and load-related pain
Shin pain, Achilles pain, patellar tendon pain. Nearly always a training-load story, so we look at your week as well as your leg.
Return-to-sport testing
Strength, hop and control testing so the decision to return is a measurement rather than a guess.
How we treat it
We treat the injury and the reason it happened. That means the tissue itself, the strength that failed, and the training load that got you there. You will get clear criteria for each stage rather than a date on a calendar.
Your first appointment
Tell us your sport, your season and your training week. Bring the shoes you train in. Expect strength and control testing, hands-on treatment, and a written stage plan you can take to your coach.
Questions about this
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book directly with a physiotherapist in Australia. You only need a referral if you are claiming through Medicare, DVA or WorkCover.
How much does the first appointment cost?
$110 for 45 minutes. If you have private health cover we claim the rebate on the spot, so you pay only the gap. There are no booking or admin fees.
How soon can I be seen?
We hold same-day slots for acute problems. If you book outside opening hours we will confirm your time by phone the next morning.
How many appointments will I need?
It depends on the problem, and we will give you an honest estimate at the end of the first visit. Most straightforward problems settle in three to six sessions.
Other problems we treat

Back and neck pain
Discs, joints, nerve pain and the stiffness that comes from sitting all day. Assessment first, then hands-on treatment and a plan.

Shoulder pain
Rotator cuff, impingement, frozen shoulder and the ones that hurt most at night. We find what is actually causing it.

Knee pain
Runner’s knee, ligament and meniscus problems, arthritis and the knees that ache going down stairs.

Hip and groin pain
Hip impingement, glute and tendon pain, and the deep ache that will not settle with rest alone.

Post-operative rehab
Knee and hip replacements, shoulder and ACL reconstructions. We work to your surgeon’s protocol.
